Merit and Perspective
Jason Winner- I have spent over 25 years consistently learning, teaching, coaching and helping people. I have spent time owning and operating a nationally certified personal training business and helped build a successful private money management firm before deciding to dedicate my career to public service. During that time I have worked my way up to a master-level instructor and coach while learning how to operate on various teams within my agency in the Pacific Northwest. I have also helped start and serve on a peer support team and served as a trained facilitator for critical incident debriefing. I understand team-building and motivating people and I combine my experience with fact-based, and logical research to understand problems so I can explain solutions in an easy to understand way. I am passionate about sharing what I have learned to provide valuable, actionable solutions that can be implemented immediately.
Sarah Winner- Working alongside Jason in service to first responders and their families is my dream job! 43rd mission is our calling and the perfect pairing of our skillsets and lived experience. I have over 16 years of experience in education training, curriculum implementation, and event planning. I maintain an established history of managing successful events, training sessions and workshops, both online and in person. In addition to my work for 43rd Mission, I can help you with workshop facilitation, event coordination, marketing, power point presentations, as well as event-day support.
Our 43rd Mission
We were just kids in the photo above—at the very beginning of a journey that would test and shape us both. We were learning to navigate life with Jason on call 24/7, juggling demanding training schedules and the responsibilities of work. During this intense period, we started our family and gained valuable leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
At the same time, Jason earned a master’s degree in Public Safety Leadership, all while rising through the ranks to become an instructor and assistant SWAT team leader. It was the realization of a lifelong dream—he had wanted to be on that team since he was a kid, and he gave it everything he had. Along the way, stress became a constant presence in our lives. It became like a member of the family, and over time, it affected each of us in different ways.
Eventually, Jason faced a difficult choice: accept a promotion that, per department policy, meant stepping away from the SWAT team. After 42 official missions, we transitioned into a new chapter. In 2019, we unofficially began our 43rd mission together—serving first responders and their families.
Tune in to our media or attend a class and hear about Jason's three wake-up calls, the diagnoses he faced, his path to recovery, and how it all inspired him to create the “Servant’s Wellness” program. It’s full of actionable steps to help you take control of your health, reconnect with yourself, and truly thrive.
